The field attribute Required is supported by all Paradox table levels (3.5, 4, 5 ,7), by dBASE only by level 7, and is not supported by FoxPro 2.5 as handled by the BDE engine.
With the limitations of the BDE Local SQL, creating field attributes is not supported by Local SQL.
However, PdxEditor does provide a means of setting and lifting the Required attribute via the extended Restructure procedure.
