3. party imports from Paradox

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Import of Paradox tables by other applications

As a previously widely used table format, import of the Paradox tables have been widely supported.

However, as deprecated data format, Paradox import currently is granted only limited support, and often not supporting the Paradox 7 tables.

Paradox import previously was supported by MS Access/MS Excel but has been removed with MS Office 2010.

Some statistical packages still support import from Paradox tables, and often as an embedded feature (not needing BDE).

Current Microsoft ODBC Paradox drivers supports Paradox tables only up to level 5 (excluding Paradox 7 tables).

If no built in support, you may search for some 3. party converter as e.g. the Sobolsoft MS Access Paradox Import-Export Converter from www.sobolsoft.com or the converter software from www.fullconvert.com.

Transfer via CSV-converted datafile

If data is without binary fields, transfer as temporarily CSV-converted text files will always be a valid option.
