Borland Database Engine Online Reference

BDE32.hlp recompiled - the BDE32 manual covering v. 5.2.0.2

This manual on the Borland Database Engine is reverse recompiled from the original WinHelp format BDE32.hlp from Borland/Inprise.
Original file date: January 17, 2000, Inprise Corporation.

BDE has not been updated since May 2001, and some code may not function as described with newer versions of programming language using the BDE components.
Further, this manual does not deal with possible BDE-issues with some later versions of the Windows operating system.

WebHelp implementation

No editing or additions have been done to the source code.
However throughout this recompilation lots of reformatting was necessary to comply with the transition from WinHelp to HTML-based help.
Links/jumps to deprecated external WinHelp-files (e.g. LocalSQL.hlp, BDEAdmin.hlp and SQLlinks.hlp) had to be cleared.
The popup topics of the original WinHelp file will display as regular topics but without banner headers.
The See also/Related topics cross linking lists based on WinHelp associative A-Keywords, not compatible with WebHelp, have to some extent been manually recreated.
