Paradox has been along since 1985 (Paradox 1.0 by Ansa Software) and have for years had a prominent place in the world of desktop type databases.
Backwards compatible iterations have been table format 3.5, 4, 5 and 7.
The table format 7 only differing from version 5 by allowing longer file paths as well as providing unique secondary indexes and descending secondary indexes.
Inherent to the Paradox table design, it provides various validity checks, however beyond the scope of the PdxEditor except for setting/lifting the field level Required attribute.
Many 3rd party paradox drivers never included version 7 support.
