Setting or changing the database password

The encryption password of the database may be altered at any time.

N.B.: If you do have a number of backup copies of an encrypted database, these copies will remain encrypted with the then valid password.

Keeping track of passwords

To keep track of passwords (also the ones not used for a year!), you are recommended using a reputed secure password keeper, for example the free KeePass Password Safe from https://keepass.info/
